Pure genius! I don't have a dresser that I hate but you can find $10 ones at the thrift stores. I too hate bi-folds and drawers. Drawers, especially deep ones are just big black holes. I hate rummaging around to find something. Great post!

Sue this is such a great idea! I totally get the digging through drawers to find something and getting sidetracked by all of the other lovely things and forgetting what it was you were there for in the first place! Very frustrating! I'm glad you finally took the bifold doors down, I know they were a real pain.. and a curtain will look really nice in that space! Great tutorial!

Oh my GOSH! Are you ever clever! Can you come to my house and organize me. My lack of organization skills is killing me!! This is really amazing. I think you need your own show. You sure have a lot of punches too!

This is VERY clever. I love how you used the drawers as a second unit!

I always admire those who see beyond the obvious. I simply saw an old dresser but you saw a storage solution in the form of a shelf . . . from drawers! Amazing! TFS!!

BRILLIANT! I SMACKED MYSELF - YES I DID! I was looking and trying to figure how you use the dresser for all that organization - it just wasn't deep as I'd thought. THEN it HIT ME! as I started reading and scrolling down too. This is absolutely brilliant. I am going to try this very very soon!

What a great idea,i have enough old sets of drawers in the attic to put to good use.i can see why youre not a fan of bifolding doors but i have a set in my home and theyre beatiful, got them in my living room leading to the garden.theyre perfect during the summer when i get the barbeque out, they make my garden feel more like a part of my home and with the latest energy efficient glass i dont have to worry about the cold winters either
